The Moroccan Agency for Solar Energy (Masen) delivered its verdict.
She retained the group consisting of Acwa Power (leader) and Sener group for the development of phases II and III of the solar complex Noor of Ouarzazate, said a statement from Masen.
The consortium’s mission is to design, finance, construct, operate, and maintain solar plants Noor II and Noor III.
The same source said Noor II will use the solar thermal technology with parabolic trough, just like Noor I.
The plant will have a capacity of 200 MW with a storage capacity of 7 hours.
As for Noor III, it will introduce technological diversification with a solar thermal sub-technology, CSP tower, which will have a capacity of 150 MW with a storage capacity of between 7 and 8 hours.
Note that Masen also recalls that the last installment of the solar complex of Ouarzazate, Noor IV, will be developed using photovoltaic technology, with a minimum capacity of 50 MW.
The target size of the complex will be achieved with a mix of complementary solar technologies.
I really like your writing style, good information, regards for putting up becegckdedbk
Thank you.
