The Moroccan capital is hosting since Monday 11 and Tuesday 12 July, the International Conference on water and climate (ICWC) jointly organised by the delegated ministry in charge of water and the French ministry for Environment, Energy and Sea and also the World Water Council (WWC) on the theme of Water Security for a just climate. There are more than 20 official delegations who have the objective to push forward the position of water in the negotiation centers of COP 22.
To achieve the objectives put in place by the ICWC, the organisers are committed to make the decision makers aware of the impact of climate change on water and stress on the importance of water sources as an adaptation and resilience domain. Also to mobilise political actors, institutions, scientist and technicians so that issues related to water be listed in the first plan of negotiations of the COP 22.
