Tanger Med has just released its results for the first half of 2015.
The container activity experienced a stable performance, with an increase of 4% compared to the same period of 2014 for the container traffic, which totaled 1,550,000 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent).
Growth and progress are noted for the traffic of vehicles, passengers and carriers.
Indeed, the Renault vehicle terminal traffic totaled 127,000 units, including 107,000 produced in the Renault Mellousa factory, an increase of 35% compared to the same period of 2014.
As for the common user terminal, it recorded a traffic of 30,000 units in the first half, an increase of 20% compared to the same period in 2014.
On the other hand, the Tangier Med port Passenger traffic reached 135,000 units, corresponding to 6% growth compared to 2014.
Passenger traffic meanwhile remained stable with 740,000 passengers at the end of June 2015.
As for the oil terminal, it shows a stable activity with traffic of 2,000,000 tons of refined products, an increase of 1% compared to the same period of 2014.
