The plane Solar impulse 2 landed today in Abu Dhabi after going around the world. The solar plane is capable of flying day and night with solar energy as the unique fuel to go around the world. After taking off on the 29th March 2015 from the AL-Batten airport a few kilometers from Abu Dhabi, the Solar impulse 2 travelled more than 42 000 Km through 5 continents relying on solar energy before landing this Tuesday 26th July at the same airport, allowing it to enter the Guinness Book of records. The pilot Bertrand Piccard and André Borshberg his co-pilote declared after landing that the tour around the world was a tour of strength, to show that the future plane will function thanks to clean energy.
