Sami Romdhane has been appointed Country Manager of Visa Morocco. This was announced by Visa International, in its press release dated 09 October 2016. Sami Romdhane joined Visa International in 2011 as Country Manager for Tunisia operating from Cairo – Egypt office, with active involvement in strategic projects in the region of North Africa and Francophone Africa.
This appointment, along with other new additions to the team (Zaid Galzim and Yasmine Sarrar as Business Development Managers and Hind Saloui as Business Development Executive), is part of the will of Visa International to provide the regional office of Casablanca with necessary and adequate resources to provide quality support to banks and all stakeholders in the development of electronic payment. Morocco is an important market for Visa in MENA and the global society of payment via technology counts on consolidating their strategic investments in order to provide innovative services for local transactions and accompany Moroccan banks in their international expansion.
Before joining Visa, Sami Romdhane worked for 5 years at the STB Bank in Tunisia, where he was in charge of the operational aspects (issuing, acquiring POS / ATM / E-commerce) and trade related to Visa and other international payment networks. He graduated from HEC Carthage and l’Institut de Financement du Développement du Maghreb Arabe (IFID).
