Florida Polytechnic University, the only university in Florida State dedicated exclusively to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), now opens its enrollment for international students to join its undergraduate and graduate programs. Students from around the world can now experience the approach of all the Florida Polytechnic University training, which focuses on applied research and practice, and on the immediate leadership opportunities offered by teachers and industrial partners.
“Florida Polytechnic University is dedicated to preparing students for the 21st century to become innovative resolvers and professionals of high-tech issues,” said University President Dr. Randy K. AVENT. He added, “I am delighted to be able to open our programs for international students and we look forward to seeing the creativity and collaboration that occurs when great minds from around the world meet.”
It should be noted that the College of Engineering and the College of Innovation and technology of the university offer six undergraduate degree programs, two graduate programs and 19 other high technology disciplines such as Big Data, Cloud, health informatics, nanotechnology, cyber security; etc.
In order to enhance the learning experience, the Polytechnic partners from Florida, with more than 90 companies of high technology, including government and non-government organizations offer students the possibility of research internships. Partners include Microsoft, Lockheed Martin, Mosaic, Cisco and Harris Corporation. The 11 innovative laboratories of the University (including a 3D printing service, a robotics lab and that of supercomputers) give students access to the latest technology.
The Florida Polytechnic aims to provide students with practical training that allows them to integrate the job market with knowledge, experience and relationships they need to succeed in their careers. The University is also strongly focused on an important goal: “that all students have the resources they need to succeed, including scholarships and support services.”
In addition, Florida Polytechnic University offers international students the necessary services to help them make a successful transition to Florida and campus life.
