Aware of the challenges of innovation and R & D in the field of software, CIH BANK, via the scientific support of Soft Center, wished to build and develop the foundation of a community ecosystem dedicated to supporting innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of software, specifically of mobile applications and service-oriented businesses. And this, together with Moroccan players in the IT ecosystem selected for this.
This platform of revitalisation and promotion of software innovation and entrepreneurship which are afferent to it, within the Kingdom, under the name “CIH Open Innovation” was realized through the launch of a program from 1 September 2016 to 31 December 2017, on the following 12 cities: Oujda, Tangier, Fez, Meknes, Rabat, Casablanca, Safi, El Jadida, Agadir, Marrakech, Laayoune, Dakhla.
This program aims to encourage young Moroccan engineers, aged 18 to 30 years, to innovate by integrating them within the startup ecosystem. And through a process of: Identify the projects and the most innovative startups, with solutions “Go to Market”, while shading lighting, in terms of visibility, their activities, their desire to generate new uses and new ideas; stimulate and reward creativity and the Moroccan expertise in terms of market oriented software innovation; lead to the development of nearly 180 mobile applications and services and finally lead to the creation of 40 innovative startups in the software field.
