Under the CGEM program for COP22, CGEM, in partnership with the Coalition for Waste recovery (COVAD) held on 10 October 2016 at the Convention Centre in Skhirat, the International Summit on the Value of waste and Climate (waste and Climate International Summit ). The aim, through this event was to present the state and innovative advances in the management and recovery of waste in order to mitigate the effects of climate change. Note that this summit, which is within the scope of the CGEM program for COP22 is important. In fact, worldwide, there is a continuous increase in the volume of waste. These wastes, if not valued or treated properly, generate considerable amount of Greenhouse Gas emissions. They are indeed responsible for 7.49% of global emissions and require an integrated approach. The said summit was attended by national and international experts, and over 300 sector operators. These experts treated important themes such as the role of territories, social inclusion, access to funding, the circular economy related to recycling.
