The aeronautic sector has just acquired its first ecosystem. Announcement made during an event organized July 28, 2015, in the presence of Moulay Hafid Elalamy and Mamoune Bouhdoud, Minister Delegate to the Minister of Industry, Trade, Investment and the Digital Economy, in charge of small business and the integration of the informal sector.
These four aircraft ecosystems concern pathways of assembly, Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS), Maintenance Repair Overhaul (MRO) and Engineering.
They will also, by 2020, create 23,000 new jobs, which is triple the current workforce, double the turnover of exports,to MAD 16 billion, reach a rate of 35% in local integration and attract more than 100 new players.
According to Elalamy these 4 ecosystems will raise the aerospace sector to a more sustained levels of development and enroll in a new phase that will see the emergence of new businesses, high value and high technological content.
On this occasion, two performance contracts were signed by Moulay Hafid Elalamy Mohammed Boussaid, Minister of Economy and Finance and Benbrahim Hamid El-Andaloussi, President of the Moroccan Industry Group of Aeronautics and Space (GIMAS) .
