After the start of Renault in Morocco in 2012, the arrival of a second automobile mega project in the Kingdom can only bring profit and interest.
The signing of the agreement between Carlos Tavares, Chairman of the PSA Peugeot Citroën, and Moulay Hafid Elalamy, the Minister of Industry, infront of His Majesty King Mohamed VI, demonstrates the direct involvement of the Sovereign. This irrevocable choice emanate from the royal will, confirms the resolution of our country to build solidly its industrialization.
And the fact is there! Through the transfer of knowledge and skills development, Morocco can now, from 2019, start making engines!
What we need to consolidate today is marketing Morocco as stable and competent regional industrial hub destination and deploy teams of “snipers” in the four corners of the world to hunt for opportunities.
Moreover ! We should be more aggressive, involve and mobilize more Moroccan diplomacy, following the example of American diplomacy that moves its whole armada for the good of its nation.
And why not extend this resolution to other sectors?
Many products are now manufactured in countries such as China or Turkey and imported massively, like cooking ovens, with a basic technology that consists of four plates and a resistance.
Why not resist the importation of these products and encourage alternative products, the idea being to return to the list of most imported products to blow the inspiration for the right investment models.
