Moncef Belkhayat, President of Dislog Group announces the imminent launch of the construction of a new factory in Kenitra. This new plant is part of a new strategy in which Dislog Group aims to double its size and its turnover to 10 billion dirhams. According to an interview with la VIE éco, Moncef Belkhayat, former Minister of Youth and Sports (2009-2011), said that Dislog Group will launch tea and biscuits. According to him, in order to achieve the goal of doubling the size and reaching a turnover of 10 billion dirhams, the Group should “move to a total of 70,000 pallet positions.” He added, “There will be a new investment in a logistics platform in 2019, which should be operational in 2021. It will be based in Kenitra which has become for us a nodal center of the Moroccan highway network allowing us to serve Northern and Oriental zones. We are waiting for the work of the highway linking the industrial area of Kenitra with Fez-Meknes highway to be completed in order to launch this project. ”
Responding to our colleague on a question relative to the model Dislog intends to adopt on the biscuit, Moncef Belkhayat said that no model has yet been adopted. “We are thinking about it, we are waiting to see the results of investment in tea for us to be able to decide. Furthermore, what is being proposed by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, investment and digital economy in the industrial acceleration plan seems interesting. Therefore, we shall make our decision based on incentives that the ministry will grant to investors, “he adds.
